Passion's Tim & Janna attend the WatchTime event LA with Peter.

We traveled up to Pacific Palisades Thursday to the Riviera Country Club, where WatchTime and Jeff Kingston were putting on their "Inside Basel" show. Prior to the dinner and slide show narrated by Jeff, several big brands and Peter showed their wares to eager watch collectors. Peter was sharing a table with MB&F, with whom he collaborated with on their Horological Machine #1, their impressive tourbillon. As one of the "Friends", Peter gained additional notoriety within the watch collecting community. This is really often the way with Independents, who don't have the money to pay magazines and the such for heavy doses of advertising in their glossy pages.

All in all a great event, where we met many new fans of Peter's work and saw several old friends.

Jeff Kingston did a great job as always with his talk and photos of all the new pieces from the Basel & Geneva shows.

Many thanks to the WatchTime team for all their brilliant organizational efforts co-ordinating the event. For collectors, this is a rare opportunity to view & handle these new offerings of the big brands that they wouldn't normally get the chance to, even if one attends Basel in a non professional capacity.
