Gustafsson & Sjögren, GoS Watches, began as a partnership between the master bladesmith Johan Gustafsson and master watchmaker Patrik Sjögren. They first met in 2007 and soon realized that they both share a deep passion for their respective crafts and for the ancient Scandinavian craft tradition.
The process of hand-forging Damascus steel results in every forged piece containing patterns with a different character and personality. This means that every GoS watch is truly one of a kind and a piece of art. Since the summer of 2021, Patrik Sjögren is the sole owner of GoS and the Damascus steel is now produced by another Swedish master bladesmith - Mr. Conny Persson.
SCANDINAVIAN TRADITIONAL HANDCRAFT & CUSTOMIZED WATCHES
A deep passion for their crafts and for the ancient Scandinavian craft tradition has always been the core of GoS values. The Scandinavian craft tradition is included in all parts of the GoS concept from the presentation boxes, accessories such as knives and pens, and naturally the watches themselves. Starting from 2015, GoS provide straps that are made from locally produced Moose-leather (Älg in Swedish). Another Swedish traditional handcraft was added during 2019 with presentation boxes in Swedish Crystal and then also transparent index ring made in the same handcrafted material.
GoS also offers uniquely customized handcrafted watches in addition to the existing models. Customers can request patterns and colors based on the broad range of Damascus techniques shown in Johan Gustafsson´s and Conny Persson´s knife production and previous GoS watches.
