Piers has designed a rather classic styled watch, the Axis Pure, taking cues from the aviator watches of the forties with the black lacquered dial and pale brown patina look of the Superluminova on the hands and applied markers. The 42mm case is either high polish stainless steel or marine bronze. The venerable Unitas 6498 in the highest decorated grade beats inside, and the caseback is solid steel. Utilizing the best of the Swiss manual wind calibers, British design style and assembly of the watches in the U.K. Pinion have created quite a stylish and fairly priced watch. Limited to 100 pieces total, 50 pieces in each metal.
The Revival 1969 manual wind chrono is about to be realised, again limited to 100 pieces, this 43mm classic 2 register chrono features a new old stock Valjoux 7734 vintage caliber from 1969. Unused until now, the calibers are brought to life within the newest watch from Pinion. These will be available towards the 3rd quarter of 2015.
