Not often does one get the opportunity to acquire one of the early 38mm 18K RG Piccadillys from Peter's early work. This watch I sold originally in 2007. This execution is actually a "Mistake" guilloche pattern dial Peter had made. It was the first one and he decided to keep it as a Piece Unique and named the "Rose du Desert". Note that this has Peter's original design buckle, with the screws, that unfortunately got replaced in later models with a smoother edged buckle, due to people whining that it kept snagging their trouser pockets!
Sporting the FW2012 hand assembled and finished caliber from Peter, based on the tractor motor ETA 2824 with it's large balance wheel for highly accurate timekeeping when correctly regulated by a skilled watchmaker.
It comes with all the original papers and boxes and has a one year warranty on timekeeping.
It is fitted with a black alligator Speake-Marin strap.
Peter's latest 42mm Titanium model sporting a single hour hand, an updated version of his original one handed watch, the superb "Shimoda".
A white lacquer dial with those lovely elegant elongated roman numerals and the stunning blued steel hand. Dial markers allow for reading the time to within 5 minutes, which after all is a place worth getting to in life!
A fun feature is the topping tool motif that is the central part of the hour hand and is also the running seconds in the middle creating a playful kaleidoscopic motion when the watch is running.
Featuring the new automatic Vaucher based caliber with the 2mm thinner new Grade 5 Titanium Piccadilly polished and brushed case.
