Rare Van der Klaauw - Satellite du Monde in 18k WG
Here is a very rare execution (possibly a unique piece) of the amazing Satellite du Monde by Christiaan Van der Klaauw, cased in white gold rather than the standard rose gold or platinum. It was special ordered by a client, this navy blue centered dial execution with roman numerals is usually reserved for the rose gold version only.
Showing the wearer the phases of the moon and the solar midday around the 24 timezones, this is a classic astronomical timepiece from Christiaan, modeled after a mantle clock sporting the original design of the complication. Christiaan has his friend Jochen Benzinger perform his version of magic on the finishing of the movement and solid gold rotor, laying down his stunning hand engraving and guilloche on the bridges and plates of the caliber.
Comes with all original boxes and papers from original owner.
Replacement is approx. $21,000
